A SUPERGROUP – WITH THE EXCEPTIONAL PARTICIPATION OF MIKAEL ÅKERFELDT FROM OPETH – REVISITS TWO CLASSIC SONGS BY DALTON, FROM THEIR LEGENDARY 1973 DEBUT ALBUM “RIFLESSIONI: IDEA D’INFINITO”!
AMS Records is extremely proud to present a peculiar and undoubtedly unique reinterpretation of two iconic tracks from Dalton’s legendary first 1973 record “Riflessioni: idea d’infinito”, with a modern sound but also faithful to the original spirit; both songs – “Riflessioni” and “Idea d’infinito” – come in two versions, one sung and one instrumental.
Under the guidance of Aronne Cereda, the only original Dalton line-up member, an ensemble of musicians from the Italian and international prog-rock scene was called upon to fully re-record two tracks of a legendary LP that still today hasn’t lost a single shred of its timeless charm.
In addition to Aronne Cereda, here on vocals and acoustic guitar duties, the musicians involved in this project are:
Mikael Åkerfeldt, Opeth’s mastermind, on electric guitars, whose exceptional involvement in this project is largely due to his boundless love for Italian progressive rock;
Cristiano Roversi, who released with Moongarden various essential Italian prog albums of the ’90s and ’00s, as artistic producer and keyboard player;
Enrico Gabrielli from Calibro 35, a jazz-funk-psych group strongly inspired by ’70s Italian soundtracks of the 70s, on flute;
Diego Petrini from the eclectic Il Bacio della Medusa on drums;
Marco Croci from Maxophone, Jumbo and Submarine Silence on bass.

Mikael Åkerfeldt, mastermind degli Opeth, alle chitarre elettriche, il cui eccezionale coinvolgimento in questo progetto è in buona parte dovuto alla sua sfrenata passione per il rock progressivo italiano;
Cristiano Roversi, autore con i suoi Moongarden di album fondamentali di prog italiano degli anni ‘90 e 2000, in veste di produttore artistico e tastierista;
Enrico Gabrielli dei Calibro 35, gruppo jazz-funk-psych fortemente ispirato alle colonne sonore italiane degli anni ’70, al flauto;
Diego Petrini degli eclettici Bacio della Medusa alla batteria;
Marco Croci di Maxophone, Jumbo e Submarine Silence al basso.

got recc'd this on youtube and loved it- reminds me a lot of late 60's and early 70's records i used to hear playing out of my parents' stereo on sweltering summer days. OPAL

Though only their third studio album release, these veterans have been around for almost fifteen years--and they keep getting better with each release--which is hard to manage since their quality of compositions, performances, and production have always been top notch. A band that really should be heard! wafiii

They played a wonderful set at Summer’s End in October 2018 which was based around this album . For me it was one of the sets of the weekend. The record is a wonderful permanent reminder of the show. Tony Honour
